Horizontal installation, also called “slide-in” requires open port access to each deck. The pods are brought from an open port at each deck via either a cradle, a loading platform or a forklift. The pods are then moved manually utilizing the load moving skates to their final resting place and lowered onto prepared shims using toe jacks.

The pods are placed onto load moving skates within a specially prepared cradle.

The cradle is then lifted with the use of a crane (supplied by main contractor) to the designated
access point and secured to the building.

The pods are lifted using a forklift directly from the delivery lorry onto moving skates positioned at the specified access point (Forklift supplied by main contractor).
